Which AstroMVP skill should I buy? Take the quiz
I get this question in my DMs at least once a day: "I want to build X. Which skill do I need?" Fair question. We have 9 skills in the store and the names don't always make it obvious which one fits your project.
So here's the decision tree. Find what you're building, and I'll tell you exactly which skills to grab.
Building a SaaS product?
Get the SaaS Builder skill.
This is our most popular skill by a wide margin. If you're building anything with user accounts, a dashboard, subscription billing, and an API, this is your starting point. It covers Next.js and React architecture, Supabase auth and database patterns, Stripe billing integration, role-based access, API design, and deployment configuration.
adworthy.ai was built with this skill. So was admix.software. Both went from idea to live product in under a week.
Pair it with: Landing Page Builder for your marketing site and SEO Optimizer to get indexed.
Building a mobile app?
Get the iOS Mobile Builder skill.
If you're building a native iOS app with SwiftUI, this is the one. It covers app architecture, navigation patterns, Core Data persistence, API integration, push notifications, and App Store submission guidelines.
This skill assumes you have a Mac with Xcode. If you don't, you might want to consider building a progressive web app with the SaaS Builder skill instead, which runs on any device through the browser.
Pair it with: Taste & Design to make sure the UI doesn't look like a default template.
Building a landing page or marketing site?
Get the Landing Page Builder skill.
If your immediate need is a page that converts visitors into signups or customers, start here. This skill covers hero section patterns, social proof placement, CTA optimization, pricing table layout, FAQ sections, and responsive design.
This is the skill I recommend for founders who want to validate an idea before building the full product. Put up a landing page, drive some traffic to it, and see if people convert. If they do, build the thing. If they don't, save yourself months of wasted development.
Pair it with: Humanizer so the page copy doesn't sound like AI wrote it.
Fixing ugly AI-generated UI?
Get the Taste & Design skill.
If your app works but looks like a Bootstrap template from 2016, this is your fix. The skill teaches your AI agent about proper spacing, typography, color theory, component composition, and visual hierarchy. It's the difference between "this looks like a developer built it" and "this looks like a designer was involved."
Pair it with: shadcn Dashboard if you're building an admin panel or dashboard-heavy product.
Building an admin panel or dashboard?
Get the shadcn Dashboard skill.
Specifically for admin interfaces: data tables with sorting and filtering, chart integrations, sidebar navigation, user management screens, and settings panels. Built on shadcn/ui components because they're the cleanest component library available right now.
Pair it with: SaaS Builder for the full stack behind the dashboard.
Need marketing copy that sounds human?
Get the Humanizer skill.
If you're writing landing page copy, email sequences, blog posts, or social media content with AI and it sounds robotic, this skill fixes that. It teaches your agent to write with varied sentence rhythm, genuine opinions, specific examples, and natural language. No more "it's important to note" padding.
cleanmyaislop.com was built with this skill. The irony of using an AI skill to build a tool that detects AI writing is not lost on me.
Pair it with: SEO Optimizer if the copy is for blog posts or web pages you want to rank.
Need SEO for your site?
Get the SEO Optimizer skill.
Technical SEO, structured data (JSON-LD), meta tags, Open Graph configuration, sitemap generation, internal linking patterns, and Core Web Vitals optimization. This is the skill that handles the backend of getting your content found on Google.
Pair it with: Humanizer to make sure the content that gets indexed also reads well when people click through.
Need growth with zero budget?
Get the Guerrilla Marketing skill.
If your marketing budget is between $0 and $1,000, this skill covers the scrappy tactics that actually work. Growth loops, viral mechanics, referral programs, community marketing, cold outreach templates, and more. Built from the playbooks we used to launch 11 client MVPs.
Pair it with: Landing Page Builder to make sure the traffic you generate lands on a page that converts.
Still not sure?
Take the skill finder quiz. It takes 30 seconds. You answer a few questions about what you're building and it recommends the exact skills for your project.
Or if you know you'll need several skills, the MVP Mega Bundle at $299 gives you every skill plus all future releases and a custom skill request. The math works if you need 3 or more skills or plan to build multiple projects.
Common skill combos
Here are the most popular multi-skill purchases I see:
The full-stack SaaS: SaaS Builder + Landing Page Builder + SEO Optimizer ($87)
The polished product: SaaS Builder + Taste & Design + shadcn Dashboard ($87)
The content machine: Humanizer + SEO Optimizer + Guerrilla Marketing ($87)
The validation stack: Landing Page Builder + Humanizer + Guerrilla Marketing ($87)
Each of these combos covers a complete workflow. And at $29 per skill, you're still spending less than a single hour of agency time.
If you're still stuck after reading all this, just DM me on Twitter. I'll tell you what to buy. Seriously. I'd rather you get the right skill than buy the wrong one and be disappointed.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use multiple AstroMVP skills together?
Yes. Many founders use 2 to 3 skills per project. A common stack is SaaS Builder plus Landing Page Builder plus SEO Optimizer. The skills are designed to complement each other and there's no conflict when using multiple skills with the same AI agent.
Which AstroMVP skill is best for beginners?
The Landing Page Builder is the easiest starting point. It produces a complete landing page with one prompt, and you can see results immediately. If you're building something more substantial, the SaaS Builder is the most popular skill and has the most examples.
What if none of the skills match my project?
The Mega Bundle includes a custom skill request where you describe your specific needs and we write a skill file tailored to your project. If you don't want the bundle, reach out directly and we can discuss whether a custom skill makes sense.
Do I need to be a developer to use AstroMVP skills?
No. Several of our customers are non-technical founders who use Claude Code with a skill file and ship working software. You need to describe what you want clearly and iterate on the output, but you don't need to write code yourself.
